-Teak Construction:

Teak is a dense, coarse-grained hardwood that is naturally resistant to moisture, insects, and drying due to its high levels of resinous oils. 

-Oiling/Sealing Teak Furniture:

Treating teak with oil or sealer can enhance its natural golden honey color, it does not affect its strength or longevity. If the furniture is left outside for extended periods of time, reoiling or resealing may be required every 2-3 months.

-Storing Teak Furniture:

When not in use, we recommend covering the furniture, storing it indoors, or placing it in a watertight shed or garage. If stored in a heated room, it is important to avoid moving it immediately into a cold outdoor area, as sudden differences in temperature and humidity may cause the wood to split.

-Cleaning Teak Furniture:

Although teak is naturally resistant to decay, mildew can form on the surface when used outside for long periods of time. However, surface mildew does not affect the durability or longevity of the wood and can be easily washed off with water or a mild washing solution and a soft-bristle brush.
